Sahalah is Oman’s purpose-built e-invoicing platform, designed to help businesses of every size achieve full compliance with the Oman Tax Authority (OTA) e-invoicing mandate.

What is Sahalah?

Sahalah handles the complete e-invoicing lifecycle:

  1. Receive structured invoice data from your ERP, accounting software, or via API
  2. Validate every field against OTA’s schema and business rules before submission
  3. Generate compliant PDF (human-readable) and UBL 2.1 XML (machine-readable) documents
  4. Submit to the OTA portal in real time and receive an Invoice Reference Number (IRN)
  5. Store a full audit trail in your Sahalah dashboard

Key Concepts

  • OTA — Oman Tax Authority, the regulatory body overseeing e-invoicing
  • IRN — Invoice Reference Number issued by OTA upon successful acceptance
  • UBL 2.1 — Universal Business Language XML standard used for e-invoices
  • VAT — 5% standard rate applied in the Sultanate of Oman
  • OMR — Omani Rial, the currency for all pricing and invoice amounts
